60.4. Ihr habt doch ein schönes Vorbild in Ibrahim und denjenigen, die mit ihm waren, als sie zu ihrem Volk sagten: "Wir sind unschuldig an euch und an dem, dem ihr anstatt Allahs dient. Wir verleugnen euch, und zwischen uns und euch haben sich Feindschaft und Haß auf immer offenkundig gezeigt, bis ihr an Allah allein glaubt." (Dies), außer das Wort Ibrahims zu seinem Vater: "Ich werde ganz gewiß für dich um Vergebung bitten; doch vermag ich für dich vor Allah gar nichts auszurichten. Unser Herr, auf Dich verlassen wir uns, und Dir wenden wir uns reuig zu. Und zu Dir ist der Ausgang.
39.41. Lo! We have revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture for mankind with truth. Then whosoever goeth right it is for his soul, and whosoever strayeth, strayeth only to its hurt. And thou art not a warder over them. (Pickthall)
39.41. Wir haben ja auf dich die Schrift herabgesandt für die Menschen, mit der Wahrheit, also wer rechtgeleitet ist, so für sich selbst, und wer fehlgeht, so für sich selbst, und du bist nicht über sie Sachwalter. (Ahmad v. Denffer)
39.41. Gewiß, Wir haben für die Menschen das Buch mit der Wahrheit auf dich hinabgesandt. Wer sich nun rechtleiten läßt, der (tut das) zu seinem eigenen Vorteil; und wer in die Irre geht, der geht nur zu seinem eigenen Nachteil in die Irre. Und du bist nicht (als) Sachwalter über sie (eingesetzt). (Bubenheim)
39.41. Wir haben dir das Buch mit der Wahrheit für alle Menschen herabgesandt. Wer zum rechten Weg findet, der tut es für sich selbst, und wer irregeht, der tut es gegen sich selbst. Du bist für sie nicht verantwortich. (Azhar)
39.41. Gewiß, WIR sandten dir die Schrift für die Menschen der Wahrheit gemäß hinab. Wer also Rechtleitung findet, (tut es allein) für sich selbst, und wer irregeht, (tut es außchließlich) gegen sich selbst. Und du bist über sie kein Wakil. (Zaidan)
39.41. Wir haben die Schrift (damit sie) den Menschen (zur Rechtleitung diene) mit der Wahrheit auf dich hinabgesandt. Wenn sich nun einer rechtleiten läßt, ist es sein eigener Vorteil. Und wenn einer irregeht, tut er das zu seinem eigenen Nachteil. Du bist nicht ihr Sachwalter. (Paret)
39.41. Wahrlich, Wir haben dir das Buch mit der Wahrheit für die Menschen herabgesandt. Wer dann rechtgeleitet ist, der ist es zu seinem eigenen Besten; und wer irregeht, der geht dann irre zu seinem (eigenen) Schaden. Und du bist nicht ihr Sachwalter. (Rasul)
Tafsir von Maududi für die Ayaat 36 bis 41
(O Prophet: ) Is not Allah enough for His servant? These people frighten you with others besides Him, ( 55 ) whereas there is none to guide him whom Allah lets go astray, and there is none to misguide him whom He guides aright. Is not Allah Mighty and capable of revenge? ( 56 ) If you ask them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they will say, "Allah." Ask them, "When the fact is this, do you think that if Allah wills harm for me, these goddesses, whom you invoke instead of Allah, will avert His harm from me? Or, if Allah wills to show me mercy, will they be able to withhold His mercy?" Therefore, tell them, "Allah is enough for me. In Him do those who trust place their trust. " ( 57 ) Tell them plainly, "O my people: Do whatever you can, ( 58 ) so shall I. Soon you shall come to know as to whom comes the disgraceful torment and who gets the enduring punishment." (O Prophet:) We have sent down to you for all mankind this Book with the truth. Now whosoever adopts the right way, will do so for his own sake, and whosoever goes astray, will himself bear the burden of his deviation: you are not responsible for them. ( 59 )
Desc No: 55 The disbelievers of Makkah used to say to the Holy Prophet, "You behave insolently in respect of our deities and utter rude words against them : you do not know how powerful they are and what miraculous powers they possess. Anybody who dishonoured them was ruined. If you also do not desist from what you say against them, you too will be annihilated. "
Desc No: 56 That is, "This also is a result of their lack of guidance that the foolish people esteem highly the power and honour of their deities but they never think that Allah also is Almighty and they can also be punished for insulting Him by the shirk they are committing against Him. "
Desc No: 57 Ibn Abi Hatim has related from Ibn `Abbas that the Holy Prophet said: 'The person who desires that he should become most powerful among men should repose his trust in Allah; and the person who desires that he should become the wealthiest among men should have more trust in that which is with Allah than that which is in his own hand; and the person who desires that he should become most honourable among men should fear Allah Almighty."
Desc No: 58 That is, ¦You may go on doing what you can in order to harm me and do not give me any respite.
Desc No: 59 That is, ¦It is not for you to bring them to the Right Path. Your only duty is to present the Right Path before them. If they prefer to remain astray after that, you are not responsible for it."
