20.44. Faquula lahu qawlan layyinanlaAAallahu yatadhakkaru aw yakhscha
20.44. And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. (Pickthall)

Tafsir von Maududi für die Ayaat 43 bis 44
"Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. Talk to him in a gentle manner; may be that he is convinced by admonition or imbued with fear." ( 18 )
Desc No: 18 The only two ways of bringing a man to the Right Way are: ( 1 ) To convince him by argument and admonition, or (2) to warn him of the consequences of deviation. 18a. It appears that they implored Allah thus before going before Pharaoh when Prophet Moses had reached Egypt and Aaron had joined him in the propagation of the Mission. "
